Bat Services

Bats are an important and vital part of our ecosystem. They are incredibly helpful at reducing the mosquito population, able to eat more than half their body weight nightly in the flying, disease-carrying insects. For the most part bats are not a nuisance, generally staying entirely outside our awareness of them. However, when a bat moves into a structure, whether it be a home, a cabin or a garage, their presence becomes very unwelcome; often leaving behind unpleasant odors from their Guano droppings and urine. In addition, they can be very noisy during the day when they are moving about in your structure.

Because they are a beneficial animal, Custom Care does not aim to harm the bats that have invaded your space, rather, we simply want to evict them. This is our process of eliminating bats from buildings:

1) Inspect entire structure to identify all entry points made by bats into the building.

2) Install a 1-way door (A device that allows bats to leave but not regain entry into the building) at all bat entry points.

3) Since the bats, after being evicted from their living space, will try to re-enter any alternate entry points, the structure needs to be completely sealed and secured to prevent this from happening again in the future.

4) After leaving the 1-way bat doors installed for at least one week, Custom Care will return, remove the 1-way doors and seal up any last possible entry points.

Our Guarantee: Custom Care guarantees the eviction of bats from your structure for one year. Custom Care cannot guarantee that the bats will be completely gone from the exterior of the building, just that they won’t be able to regain entry.

Follow up services: After your 1-year guarantee is up, Custom Care recommends an annual inspection of your building to ensure no new openings have emerged. Building settling, Wood Pecker holes and building alterations are just a few examples of how bats can regain entry to your building.
